This is the tea house in Namche Bazaar where we spent two nights.
This is Namche Bazaar from higher up on the mountain. It is much larger than the
other villages.
Yak dung is used for fuel in the fireplaces. It is spread out on rocks to dry.
We took a day hike from our tea house in Namche Bazaar to the Everest View Lodge
and to Khumjung. This is a view along the trail. The pointed mountain on the far
right is Ama Dablam.
Another view along the trail.
A view from the Everest View Lodge. This is a small panorama. You may have to scroll
to the right to see all of it.
We stopped for tea at the Everest View Lodge. The view was fantastic.
From the Everest View Lodge we hiked to Khumjung.
Some prayer wheels around one of the temples.
Winny turns a really big prayer wheel. Every time it goes around a bell
rings. You are supposed to make it ring 3 times.
Inside a Monastary.
We then hike back to our tea house in Namche Bazaar for the night.
